I really like the Spanish guy worker here. He make hot dog so good it make me dance and tap my toes.
Pregnant mama approved the green salsa is so good!!! Maybe some guacamole would make this off chain
As I was driving back to L.A. down the 99, I googled "best chili dogs in Fresno" and Roscoe's Dogs was one of three or four establishments that were listed. The only reason I chose this one is b/c it was closest to the highway. When I pulled off and zipped over to proper address, I parked in the back and discovered that "Roscoe's" is a thing of the past. It is now, apparently, Cali Dogs. It's a small little joint and the nostalgic decorations were all still in place. As it was mid afternoon, there were only a couple of teenage girls munching away inside. I ordered two (surprisingly inexpensive, at least by SoCal standards) chili cheese dogs. They were clearly Nathan's hot dogs (as advertised), I could taste it immediately. The kid holding down the cash register was very friendly and my order was produced quickly. Next time I'll grab one of the Tijuana dogs. As business has been bringing me north of here pretty regularly, I'll definitely be back to visit a location in my home state of which I had never heard previously: Selma, CA.
Only been there one time the chili fries were pretty good. I will give it another try it was pretty tasty
The TJ dog is addicting and I crave it constantly. Chili and dogs are all good. Corn dogs are great! Burgers are okay. I go for the dogs :) haven't had the wings yet. Try the TJ dog you won't regret it
Great dogs, cool atmosphere, friendly people Old school joint, the chili cheese dogs with sauerkraut was excellent
Service was great, quick to. My husband and I happen to be in the area, I was captured by the look of this place so we pulled over and we were so glad we did. I eat healthy 80% of the time because of health issues usually when I decide to eat something that's not green I usually regret it, I didn't regret a bite at all, I'm actually going back in two weeks for onion rings!!!
What a great little find in Selma. And I do mean little. Looks like an old-time gas station. Great ambiance with vinyl records and car paraphernalia on the walls. Seats 10-12 inside and two big tables outside in front. Staff was friendly and helpful. As far as the hot dog goes, the toppings of the TJ dog were the stars. There was a Nathan's hot dog sign, but I doubt they were Nathan's dogs. I really enjoyed the crema and the homemade chili (with no beans)! I will definitely be back on a Thursday or Friday to try the tri-tip sandwich. It looks awesome!
Great lunch spot in Selma on the "old 99." Very easy to find, love the bright colors and murals, decor all around the inside and outside of the building. The inside is a bit cozy so we opted for the shaded picnic tables outside. Lots of street parking and they have a few parking spots behind their building. I chose the $5.50 Alley Dog (regular size-also comes in foot long), bacon wrapped dog with tomatoes, onions, jalapeños. Yum! Perfect lunch portion , not too spicy. I'd like to try more of their hot dogs soon. Friendly service. Coca Cola products on tap.
Been a minute since I've been here to Rosco's Dogs. Mikey the Foodie Guy @mikeythefoodieguy did a review recently and reminded how good this place is so I had to stop. I got the pastrami sandwich. It didn't have a lot of pastrami in it. But it was enough. It's served on toasted sourdough which was delicious. Onion rings were hot and crispy. And the chili is definitely on point! A definite must if you are a chili dog chili kinda person! Great little hole in the wall if you are ever in Selma. And great service!!
